Who can use this feature? ✅POS users

Void is one of the most used POS buttons because customers may rethink their orders and request replacements or users could make a mistake which needs to be adjusted.

The void icon in the POS looks like this:

Note: To void an article, the POS user should have a relevant permission given in the Back Office to do so. The location owner can manage user permissions as needed. For more information, refer to this page.

During your work in the POS system, there can be two regular scenarios that involve a void of an article:

  • Void during ordering
  • Void after confirming an order and sending it for preparation

Void during ordering

Tap on the ‘Void’ button or swipe an article to the right side and relevant articles will disappear from your order. In case of voiding articles during ordering, you’re not required to enter a void reason. Unlike voiding after sending the order for preparation when you have to indicate a reason every time you void an article.

Void after confirming an order and sending it for preparation

Tap on the ‘Void’ button or swipe an article to the right side. The pop-up with the reasons for voids will appear. Indicate the void reason to complete this process. Note that you cannot proceed without entering a reason.

Tip: The location owner can customise standard reasons in the Back Office to simplify the entire process of working with voids. To learn more about the reasons and how to manage and use them, refer to this page.

To void an article, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the unTill Air app on your screen.
  2. Create any order.
  3. Tap first on the item and then tap on the Void button.

Tip: You can void an article much easier and quicker by swiping an article to the right side.

  1. If a void takes place after confirmation of the order and sending it for preparation, the POS user has to indicate a reason for this void to complete this operation.

Tip: To void multiple identical articles, you can use the numeric keypad. First, enter the number of articles you wish to void. Then, tap on a specific article and then use the ‘Void’ button.
